Faculty Symposium on Teaching and Technology
The User Education Committee for the CBB Mellon Project for Library and Information Technology want to let you know the date for this year's Faculty Symposium on Teaching and Technology to be held at Bates College.
Please reserve Monday, May 22, 2000 to attend a day of presentations by your colleagues and a keynote address by Randy Bass, Director of the Center for Electronic Projects in American Culture Studies and faculty member in the English Department, Georgetown University. Randy will talk about "Learning Culture in a Wired World" and will explore some of the questions we should be asking about teaching, learning, and technology, especially in connection with teaching for better student understanding.
There will be ample time and lunch and a wine and cheese gathering to talk with faculty from Bates Bowdoin, and Colby. The $50.00 book store gift certificate will also be available to faculty attending.
