CBB Mellon Collaborative Collection Development Planning Grant

CBB Mellon Collaborative Collection Development Planning Grant (2004)

A six-month Andrew W. Mellon Foundation planning grant, received in 2004, enabled the CBB Libraries consortium to assess the feasibility of building a sustained library cooperative collection development plan. Leveraging the highly successful CBB and Maine state-wide resource sharing initiatives, the CBB libraries hoped to reimagine the three library collections as one in terms of borrowing, to develop a joint collection that built on the strengths of each institution, respond to shared curricular needs, reduce unnecessary duplications among collections and establish robust collection in new areas of teaching and research.

The final grant report outlines grant related activities and outcomes.
